Coimbatore, July 30, 2017: Two-time APRC champion Gaurav Gill began his MRF FMSCI Indian National Rally Championship 2017 on a dominant note, winning Round 1 with consummate ease here in Coimbatore on Sunday.  The 35-year-old ace rallyist and co-driver Musa Sherif, who were fourth off the blocks, stormed into the lead in the first stage itself. Prapap Jayaram quickest in drag race Chennai, July 23: Veteraj Pratap Jayaram from Bengaluru emerged the fastest in the first round of the 2017 MMSC fmsci Indian National Drag Racing Championship for four-wheelers at the MMRT track, Sriperumbudur, near here on Sunday. Jayaram, participating in the top-end Unrestricted class in a fully modified Reva car, clocked 13.102 seconds for the quarter-mile drag which also won him the fastest driver award. Finishing second behind Jayaram was Joel Joseph, also from Bengaluru, with Pune’s Raymand Banajee completing the podium.
